At SmålandsKatten, we aim to make a lasting impact in Ljungby, Älmhult, and Markaryd community and beyond. Our initiatives and activities are designed to save abandoned cats, reduce the cat population, and educate the community.

What We Do

There are approximately 200,000 homeless cats in Sweden. Cats that have been abandoned by humans, unwanted, dumped or born into the wild. Some cats are tame, some are fearful and anxious, and some have never had human contact. We fight so hard so that these cats can come into the warmth and feel love and security. But we are completely dependent on you amazing people who choose to adopt from us. It is you who make it possible for us to do this.

All cats in our care are sterilized to prevent overpopulation
