We are sorry that you are in this situation. We know that sometimes things happen in life that change what we can and can't care for. SmålandsKatten is not able to take your cats. We are already limited in the space we have but we must prioritize saving cats that are in the wild and are at risk of death. There are other ways to rehome your cat though. please find them below.

If you ever worry whether the cat will go to a good home, consider keeping the chip registered in your name in case the cat runs away.

Steps to finding your cat a new home

Share with friends and neighbors

Sometimes cats become friendly with a neighbor or friend that has visited. Let them know you are in need of a new home for your cat and they might consider adopting it.

Post on Blocket

While we frown upon selling of kittens on Blocket, we fully support advertising cats in need of a new home. Do not try to make money off of your cat. If a new home is most important then consider the minimum 500kr cost to find yoru cat a new home. Clarify if the cat is healthy, its age, describe its personality, and whether you have chipped/registered the cat and sterilized it.
